Lilly and Michael- A Chateau Lill wedding filled with vintage touches and floral details

Married March 1, 2025

Lilly and Michael reached out to me a year and a half before their wedding day, which felt like it was SO far into the future. They knew they wanted March 1st as it was their dating anniversary so, of course, is a significant day for them so booked Chateau Lill using the inside spaces for their micro wedding. Who knew that it would turn out to be a gorgeous day on the cusp of spring?!

They planned for their wedding to have a maximum of 50 guests, so they could spend time with their family that was all traveling into town. They recently relocated to the Seattle area from Florida, so most of their guests would be coming in from out of town.

Lilly loved all things vintage and wanted to make sure there were vintage details among spring-like flowers in yellow, lavender and pink. She also wanted to make sure they showcased her grandparents and their long relationship together, as evident in their historical photos and some pink roses at the memory table for her grandmother.

We worked together to find a vendor team suited for the style they wanted for their wedding. Aimee Willow Designs was hired from England to create custom invitations and save the date cards for their guests. Shannon with Impress Ink was then able to print her designs and modify details of them for their day-of stationery, which consisted of oval menus, ceremony programs, place cards and all of their signage around the venue.

Lilly wanted florals all throughout the main floor of Chateau Lill as they would be having both their ceremony and reception in that space. This meant florals dripping from the chandeliers, the light sconces around the room and all over the fireplace. Carlee from Goldenrod Floral absolutely nailed the design and floral installations.

When it came to designing their cake, the bride decided she wanted a vintage cake with columns in it. We worked together with their florist and baker to ensure that the sugar flowers on the cake matched the flowers that were going to be surrounding the cake in the cake meadow. The result is a seamless blend of sugar and real flowers, which is incredible. I’m so impressed by what these artists can do!

After the ceremony with a live pianist playing on the Chateau Lill piano, the vendor team got to work flipping the space for dinner. Guests enjoyed more piano serenades downstairs for cocktail hour in the barrel room which was adorned by velvet linens and more florals across the barrels. Guests were also treated to a live poet who would chat with guests to get their stories and then come up with an original poem (no ai needed here!). The groom had gifted a poem from the same poet to the bride early on in their time together, so this was a special gift from the couple to their guests.

Once back upstairs, they had a plated meal for their guests, served on vintage mis-matched china. After being celebrated by their family and friends, the dance party was on its way! Lilly wanted to make sure that there was a good mix of fast and fun songs along with some slow songs for the couples to enjoy. There were never enough of those at weddings, she said.

At the end of the festivities, we helped assemble the guests outside, where their vintage Rolls Royce waited for them. The couple enjoyed one last private dance together inside before exiting through a sea of silver pop streamers tossed by their favorite people.

Many thanks to Lilly and Michael for trusting me with their wedding vision and for the amazing team of vendors who helped bring every single moment of the day to life.
